This lineup is yet to lose a domestic event under the Renegades banner.

Renegades continued their domination of the Oceanic region with a 3-1 victory over Looking For Org in the grand final of Dreamhack Open Oceania. Having been sent to the lower bracket earlier in the event by Looking For Org themselves, Joshua "⁠INS⁠" Potter and co. came into this best-of-five grand final with a one map disadvantage. They avenged the earlier defeat with aplomb, sweeping their opponents on Mirage, Dust2 and Nuke.

This adds another title to an already solid list for Renegades' year, having won ESEA Premier and EPIC League Oceania so far in 2021. It also continues their impressive form from 2020, where they won just about everything there was to play in the region.

INS and co. are set for another overseas trip

The maps themselves were closely fought affairs, with Looking For Org securing at least 12 rounds in all three. Unfortunately their inability to convert opening kills into round wins cost them dearly, posting 50 to Renegades' 36 across the series.

This victory means Renegades join Renewal and Extra Salt in the first ever ESL Pro League Conference, which takes place November 23-28 online. Those teams will be joined by the winners of the other Dreamhack Open events taking place this and next month (NA, SA, and EU), the runners up of the two ESEA Premier seasons (NA and EU), as well as winners of the ESL National Championships. The teams will be battling it out for one of three ESL Pro League group stage spots for season 15.

Renegades will be hoping to continue their gradual improvement at international events year, going from crashing out of the Katowice play-in in straight games to qualifying for the main stage of Cologne with an impressive 2-0 victory over OG.
